About Library Lovers Day
Library Lovers’ Day was initially started in Australia in 2006 by the State Library of NSW.
The day became a national holiday in 2007 when the Australian Library and Information Association joined the campaign to promote their passion for books and raise awareness regarding library services.
Be romantic this Valentines and fall in love with books! This day is an annual opportunity for people to celebrate the valuable role that libraries play in their lives.
Don’t want the fun to end? Don’t worry, February is National Library Lovers Month so you can keep the activities going all month!
