About UNICEF Birthday
The United Nations International Children's Fund is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide.
The International Children’s Emergency Fund (ICEF) was created by the UN Relief Rehabilitation Administration to help children affected by World War II. ICEF is for child health purposes generally and aid is to be distributed to all children, without discrimination.
On 11 December 1946, a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly formed the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
