About National Retro Video Game Day
Just two days before Mario Day (Mar 10), National Retro Video Game Day is a day to commemorate retro video games.
March 8th was chosen for this national day as it is the birthday of Ralph Baer (1922 - 2014), who is considered the Father of Video Games.
Engineer Ralph Baer, a pioneer in the field of interactive video games, invented what became known as the Magnavox Odyssey Home Video Game System. A well-known game he developed was Simon, a single-chip, microprocessor controlled memory game introduced in 1978.
On this day various game events will be conducted and new versions of games will be launched. It is fully the day for gammers. Just start playing your favorite retro games with your friends and family and enjoy the day. Have a game treat and memorable gaming moments.
