About National Dog Walker Appreciation Day
National Dog Walker Appreciation Day is celebrated on September 8th and is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the work done by dog walkers around the world.
Dogs require consistent exercise, attention, and bio breaks during the day which can be difficult for dog parents who are stuck at work and can't take their dogs for exercise.
Dog walkers can help to take care of your dogs when you are unavailable. No matter the time of the day or the weather, dog walkers are always there when you need them most to make our lives easier and also to provide the best care possible for our dogs. Dog walkers take such good care of our dogs that they deserve to be celebrated and appreciated as well!
This national holiday was first celebrated on September 8th 2016 by the Wag company which helps pet parents find dog walkers and pet sitters. They understand the amount of effort and stress it takes to take care of and walk dozens of dogs per month so they decided to create a national holiday to celebrate these kind souls.
We hope you spend this September 8th with us celebrating dog walkers around the world for everything they do for our families!
