About National Bubble Bath Day
Today is Bubble Bath Day!
People have been enjoying hot springs for thousands of years. In ancient Rome, public baths were part of the daily schedule for citizens. A visit to the Roman baths may include a brief break in the caldarium (hot tub), a dip in the laconicum (sauna), and a swim in the frigidarium (cold pool).
Until the 1940s, bathing just once a week was commonplace in American society, and although a daily hot shower is most popular, a luxurious bubble bath remains a treat for many. A bubble bath opens your pores, cleanses your skin, and relaxes muscles.
So why not treat yourself to your favorite bubble bath product tonight, and soak in your bathtub to celebrate Bubble Bath Day! Play some relaxing music and light some candles while taking a bath.
If you plan to be joined by your rubber duck, don't forget that Rubber Duckie day takes place on January 13th!
