About Postal Workers Day
Postal Workers Day celebrates the hard work and dedication of hundreds of thousands of women and men who collect, sort, and deliver letters, parcels, and packets for everyone everywhere.
So, on National Postal Workers Day, please look out for your local postman or postwoman, give them a friendly wave, a cheerful message and show them today that you appreciate them and the fantastic work they do.
The Communication Workers Union (CWU), which represents some 110,000 postal workers in this country, launched National Postal Workers Day (NPWD) in 2011.
Although National Postal Workers Day is normally celebrated during the pre-Christmas period, in 2020, the CWU moved it to April.
