About Mental Health Awareness Week
The Mental Health Foundation started Mental Health Awareness Week in 2001 and continues to set the theme, organise and host the week.
It has now grown to become one of the biggest awareness weeks across the UK and globally.
Mental Health Awareness Month
Mental Health Awareness Month is an observance meant to bring awareness to mental health issues. This month is typically celebrated in May, though some organizations and countries observe the occasion in October, during which World Mental Health Day is observed.
