This declaration commemorates the pivotal day in 1971 when the Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, alongside his brothers signed the declaration of the Union and the UAE Constitution, officially naming the country the United Arab Emirates.

This significant step was taken in preparation for the nation’s formal establishment on December 2 1971, marking a historic milestone where the foundations of the Union were laid.
