The Finnish Flag Days are Kalevala Day (also known as Finnish Culture Day, February 28th), Labour Day (also known as May Day or Vappu, May 1st), Mothers' Day (second Sunday in May), Flag Day of the Finnish Defence Forces, on the birthday of Marshal Mannerheim (June 4th), Midsummer Day (Finnish Flag Day, the Saturday between June 20th and 26th, with flags usually hoisted at 6pm the previous evening on Midsummer's Eve) and Independence Day (December 6th).
